Reasons and Solutions for insufficient brake pressure

1. Insufficient brake pressure

When pipeline leakage or blockage happens, the push rod of air chamber travel too far, this will make the air pressure in air compressor and reservoir not engough to reach the standard of barometer, then cause brake insufficient or inefficacy.

To solve this problem, step on the brake pedal to force the air chamber diaphragm heave the push rod and brake adjuster, then the camshaft will rotating to top the brake toe to brake. 

 

2. The friction force of brake decreased

The adjusting space of brake drum and brake shoe is not suitable will decrease the firction force of brake.
(a). Brake drum is out of shape and not circle
(b). Contact area of brake shoe is too small
(c). Low quality of brake shoe
(d). Oil stain or dirt loosen the rivet of brake shoe
(e). The joint of brake shoe and supporting shaft gets rusty or loosening
(f). the brake shoe abrades too thin to enlarge the adjusting space

Solution
Start the engine and step on the accelerator, when the barometer pointer reaches 0.8 mpa, stop the engine and check:
(a). The barometer pointer decreases 0.1mpa, it is normal
(b). It decreases too fast, you should check the leakage by the suds.
(c). If there is no leakage, check the travel of air chamber push rod, front wheel is 15-35mm, rear wheel is 20-40mm.
(d). If the push rod is hard to push, separate the intake-tube and check whether there is leakage of the joint or not, if there is no leakage, probably because it is lack of lubrication.
(e). Then strick the camshaft and rust removal, change a better bush and lubricate oil to solve the problem
